Dhaka-8 Aspirant Osman Hadi Shot in Bijoynagar

Sharif Osman Hadi, spokesperson for the Inqilab Moncho and a potential independent candidate for the Dhaka-8 constituency, was shot in the capital’s Bijoynagar area on Friday afternoon.

The incident occurred in the Box Culvert area, where Hadi was critically injured and later rushed to Dhaka Medical College Hospital.

Speaking to Prothom Alo, Mohammad Talebur Rahman, deputy commissioner of the Dhaka Metropolitan Police’s Media and Public Relations Division, said the attack took place at around 2:25 pm. According to the official, the assailants arrived on three motorcycles, and individuals on one of the bikes opened fire on Hadi before speeding away.
